Hope arrives quietly, then vanishes just as fast. The hearts stand in quiet rows, each one a breath of what could have been. I paint, then erase. Paint, then erase. The cycle feels familiar—two decades of waiting, of hoping, of watching dreams dissolve before they could root. One remained, for the briefest of moments. And then, like all the others, it faded. But love is stubborn. It holds on, even in absence. I leave behind a single pink-blue heart, tucked into the silence—a fragile echo of the life we never got to hold.
